Post production

Post production process will begin when there is already some material recorded. Post production will cover photo-, audio- and video and computer graphics material editing and mixing.

In order to get a better understanding, I'll give you an example.
I'm sure that many people have hours and hours of video material covering every holiday trip they have made over the years. Usually this video will be watched only once because there is just too much of it. So, those tapes will probably end up collecting dust on the shelf. Feels familiar?

Video editing is process whereas all the unnecessary material will be cut out. Result will be much shorter and compact video for example on DVD, which is easy to use and fun to watch with your friends and family. Material recorded in HD is better to put on Blu-ray disc where it will stay HD compared to DVD where it doesn't.

If you want to spice up your video, there is possible to add:

  • titles of location and date
  • map with a red dot showing the exact location;
  • animated map showing the trip;
  • photos
  • animated photo-video album with background music
  • narration
  • material from another video camera in case there more than one camera;
  • subtitles incase there is something in foreign language
  • etc.

For post-production you can bring your video material on following data medium:

  • VHS
  • VHS-C
  • Video8
  • Hi8
  • Digital8
  • MiniDV (DV & HDV)
  • USB harddrive
  • SD memory card
  • Photo negative (black&white and colour)
  • Colour diapositive (colour slide)
